As the inhabitants of Catan settled down and started their new lives, they quickly realized that they were not alone. Thieves, Barbarians, Pirates, and other Villains lurked outside their settlements and near their shores, waiting to steal whatever they could. As reports of looting, pillaging, and thievery abounded, the Settlers banded together to protect their personal possessions and information. In addition, all of the inhabitants of Catan, both small and large, worked together to implement and provide their visitors with a comprehensive privacy policy.
